Seifert
Construction was founded in late 2005 by Mike Seifert Sr. and Jr. hereafter
referred to by their nicknames in the field - Big Mike, and Junior.
Big Mike has worked in the construction industry since the early 1970's, first as an employee for Amel Jendrick and Orin Thompson, and later as the owner of Seifert Builders, Inc. After the death of his father, he took time in the 1980's to manage the family farm, and then returned to construction in the early 1990's, working for such companies as Rice-Bottema Construction, Haugdahl Construction, and Klingelhutz Construction. He was a partner in Horstman-Seifert Construction, Inc. from 1997 until 2005 when he went into business with Junior. His knowledge of the trade and field experience completing a wide variety of residential projects is an invaluable resource to us as a company, and to you as a customer.
Junior, by comparison, is the newcomer to the industry. While attending college at St. John's University, he began working summers at Horstman-Seifert Construction. Enjoying the trade and his apprenticeship under Big Mike, Junior proposed that they start their own company and operate as a father and son team. Big Mike was game, and the adventure began. Since that time, Junior has become a skilled carpenter, and also manages all of the office administration for the company. He takes pride in being a lifetime learner, and is always curiously researching new construction methods, implementing new techniques for streamlining the business, and finding inventive ways to solve problems in the field.

We strive to work with our clients to ensure that our work meets their expectations, and leaves them with a high degree of satisfaction not only with the finished product, but also with the entire process of construction. We emphasize the use of quality materials, and adhere to rigorous standards while practicing our trade. Basically stated, we're fussy. We take the time to do the best job possible, because we can't stand to do it any other way. Through all of this, we also strive to maintain a clean, safe job site for everyone involved in the construction process.
